Commercially Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC) Advocate – Part-Time/Full-Time

Provides advocacy, community outreach and engagement. Providing advocacy services to identified survivors of CSE and at risk of CSE or trafficking. Providing basic needs kits for homeless youth identified as CSEC. Providing resources to homeless youth and NMDs identified as CSEC. Screening homeless youth clients of Safe Place with the CSE IT Tool to determine at risk level of CSE and Sex Trafficking, and making referrals to the child protection hotline for identified victims, as appropriate. Work with CHS Communications Coordinator to conduct an awareness event during the month of January, and collaborate with the county and any identified CSEC Program Agency Partners in event planning, to include development of messaging and materials to ensure all event content is survivor informed and approved. To participate in a minimum of 3 community, health educational and/or resource fair in North Monterey County and on the Monterey Peninsula. Prepare reports on a quarterly basis which reflect progress on program services, including the following: Overview of advocacy services; Number of CSE IT screenings conducted; Attendance and feedback reports for CSEC awareness events; Participation in community, health, resource and/or school events; and Examples of social media outreach. The CSEC Specialist must have a Bachelor’s Degree and be trained in the use of the CSE-IT screening tool, or the equivalent combination of education, experience and training.

 

PT pay $21.20 per hour, 5% bilingual stipend

FT starting pay $3,675 – $4,052/monthly depending on qualifications and experience. Additional 5% if bilingual (E/S). Generous benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage. AA/EOE.
