Provides direct service in the Domestic Violence Intervention Program, serving Court-referred, Probation-referred, and Self-referred men and women as follows. Provides group facilitation for Domestic Violence Intervention group meetings and Anger Management group meetings. Does intake assessments. Does fee assessments. Collects and receipts fees. Maintains necessary paperwork for group participants, including providing regular written reports for Probation Department/Court/California Department of Corrections. The Domestic Violence Facilitator must meet qualifications as outlined by the Monterey County Probation Department. Generally this means having a minimum of 40 hours of training on Domestic Violence and 104 hours of co-facilitation of a Domestic Violence group, or similar qualifications acceptable to the Probation Department. The Facilitator must maintain annual training hours sufficient to satisfy the requirements of the Monterey County Probation Department. Additionally, the individual must pass a criminal records check by the Probation Department and have been violence-free for a period of at least three years.
