Under general supervision of the Development Director and in coordination with the Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer and Management Team, supports the development a diverse fund raising program and positive public, media and donor relations.
Assists in the planning and implementation of an annual fundraising campaign, and capital/special campaigns as needed. Assists in the writing, coordination and submission of public, private and corporate grants, including narrative and finance portions and letters of support. Assists with meeting grant reporting requirements. Assists in writing and coordinating direct mail campaigns. Solicits in-kind donations and works with programs to coordinate their solicitation of in-kind donations. Assists in building a donor program to acquire, renew and increase individual donations, including donor relations, donor recognition, donor data base, donor events, etc. Represents agency to funding sources. Acts as a liaison and provides support to the Fundraising Committee. Prepares monthly report for the Development Director and makes periodic presentations to the Board of Directors. Minimum qualifications: Basic knowledge and experience in non-profit fund development. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Publisher, Excel, Power Point and Exceed is desirable, as is knowledge of mental health, drug/alcohol treatment and homeless services. Must be able to work independently, as well as collaboratively with the Board of Directors, Management Team and other agencies. The ideal candidate is creative and flexible, able to multi-task and has strong interpersonal relationship skills. Candidates for the position must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid California driver’s license and auto insurance is required.

Starting pay is $4,695 – $5,176 per month D.O.E. Additional 5% if bilingual (E/S). Generous benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage, and paid leaves. EOE.
