Full time benefitted position at the new homeless shelter for women and families with children to open this winter in Seaside. Office Manager performs general receptionist and secretarial duties for the Program Officer and assists in daily programming at the shelter. Duties include front desk coverage, answering phones, ordering supplies, maintaining petty cash, assisting with statistical and other reports, monitoring facility and vehicle maintenance logs, assisting clients in signing up for food stamps and other mainstream benefits, managing shelter monitor schedule, opens and distributes mail, assists with client check-in process, and other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications include proficiency with Microsoft Office 360, excellent communications skills, ability to take direction and work under general supervision, ability to work effectively under stress and conflict, flexibility to adapt to changing situations, ability to maintain boundaries with shelter guests, and ability to maintain guest confidentiality. Starting salary $2,940-3,241/month, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits. Additional 5% pay for bilingual/Spanish. Bilingual preferred.
