Provides accounting assistance to Bookkeeper II and Chief Financial Officer. Enters data into accounting software for Agency cash receipts, including Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) and credit card transactions. Assists program staff in maintaining financial records for cash receipts, petty cash, etc. Is cross trained in payroll functions to provide backup to Bookkeeper II, as needed. Assists Bookkeeper II in coordinating centralized purchasing and making entries into accounting software for purchasing transactions and accounts payable vouchers, as needed. Responsible for keeping accurate and organized Agency financial records and making timely financial transactions. Provides support to CFO during audits. Performs other duties and functions and prepares reports as delegated by the CFO and CEO.

Must be fully knowledgeable in the maintenance of comprehensive bookkeeping system and able to accurately maintain all accounts, ledgers and supporting documents to ensure provision of current fiscal information for analysis at any time.  A minimum of two years bookkeeping experience covering all aspects of bookkeeping systems required. High School diploma or GED certificate required. AA degree preferred. Advanced computer skills and experience with business software, such as Peachtree, Excel, Outlook, Word, ADP, etc. required. Ability to work independently and as member of team.

$24.08 per hour. Additional 5% pay for bilingual/Spanish.
