PROGRAM OFFICER – Seeking dynamic leader to serve as Program Officer (PO) for new homeless shelter and resource center in Seaside, CA. Casa de Noche Buena will provide overnight shelter and supportive services to single women and families with children, including comprehensive case management; access to health, mental health and substance abuse services; linkages to income, education, employment and housing; and a variety of children’s services. The PO will assist with developing policies and procedures for this new program, and will be responsible for overall program management. Duties include supervision/evaluation of 6-8 staff (case manager, officer manager, and shelter monitors), ensuring compliance with program standards/grant requirements, and proper documentation of services/data tracking. The PO will analyze program performance, prepare statistical reports, and monitor quality assurance. The PO must be responsive to staff, clients, project partners and the community. Ideal candidates will have effective communication and collaboration skills, as well as experience in mental health, homeless services, and substance abuse fields. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• BA in counseling, psychology or related field of study;
• Five years related work experience; two years supervisory experience;
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for education and experience requirements.
• Two years clean and sober if in recovery;
• Knowledge of community resources used in case management of persons experiencing homelessness.
