Casa De Noche Buena Celebrates One Year Anniversary during Women’s History Month with an Open House March 15, 2022 from 3:00 – 5:30pm
Seaside, Ca, March 10, 2022 – Join Community Human Services and Gathering for Women on Tuesday March 15th from 3:00 – 5:30pm for an Open House in celebration of the one-year Anniversary of the opening of Casa de Noche Buena in Seaside, the ONLY homeless shelter specifically for women and families with children on the Monterey Peninsula. Casa De Noche Buena opened midway thru the pandemic in January 2021 and is located at 1292 Olympia Ave in Seaside, CA.
At the Open House on March 15th, you can meet some of the Case De Noche Staff and get a guided tour of the Facility. Invited dignitaries include Seaside Mayor Ian Oglesby, and Monterey County Supervisors Mary Adams and Wendy Root Askew. There will be a program starting at 5pm.
Casa de Noche Buena is a low barrier emergency shelter for single women and families with children. Case Managers work with guests to set and achieve their personal goals for housing, income, employment, education, and other areas that support a successful exit from homelessness into permanent housing. Children-specific activities include tutoring and homework help, as well as arts and crafts, games, books, movies, TV shows, story time, outdoor play area
The shelter features 10 bedrooms, a laundry room, a kitchen, a multi-purpose dining room, a lounge, 5 full baths, including 2 family bathrooms with tubs. Other amenities include mail service, computers and internet access. The shelter has a maximum capacity of 35 people depending upon family size and the ages of the children.
