Substance Use Prevention Program (SUPP) is a school-based counseling program for students. The program aims to provide socio-emotional support to students and to address and identify substance use and abuse issues. This program focuses on substance use prevention and education, anger management techniques, and provides additional support to all participants.
Vaping Support for Salinas Youth: CHS’s school-based Substance Use Prevention Program (SUPP) launched a new curriculum to support schools in combatting the rising use of e-cigarettes among students. The Vape Offense Workshop (VOW), which launched at Salinas UHSD in the Fall of 2018, provides swift intervention in lieu of suspension for youth identified as using or in possession of vaping devices on campus. Students receive counseling, support and intervention services.
If your school or district is interested in having a Substance Use Prevention Program, please contact Shawn Stone, Program Officer, at sstone@chservices.org or 831.424.4828.
