CHS is dedicated to providing services that are cost-effective and collaborative in order to leverage the value of contracts, grants and public donations and prevent duplication of services. To that end, CHS is a member organization of several collaborative community groups and partners with many local organizations, including:

monterey county homeless census and survey
The homeless census and survey was released to the public and accepted by the Monterey County Board of Supervisors on June 27th, 2017. The census was conducted on January 25, 2017 and identified 2,837 homeless individuals, an increase of 23% since 2015 and the largest count in ten years. There were 598 under the age of 25, 25% of which were under the age of 18, and 42% were unsheltered at the time of the count. This represents at an increase of 121% for unaccompanied children and transition age youth since 2015.
