Monterey, CA, September 18, 2023 – Community Human Services (CHS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Anab Mohamed as Grants Manager and Jeannine Woerz as Donor Relations Manager to strengthen its development team further and advance its mission of providing vital homeless, mental health, and substance abuse services to the residents of Monterey County.

Anab Mohamed – Grants Manager

Anab Mohamed brings a wealth of experience and a global perspective to her role as Grants Manager at Community Human Services. A Middlebury Institute of International Studies graduate in Monterey, her studies focused on International Policy and Development. Anab, originally from Sudan, grew up in Monterey, where she actively participated in local leadership and initiatives. Anab served as an international development consultant in Sudan, Africa, playing a pivotal role in supporting programs to address the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, including misinformation and breaking down gender-based barriers. In California, she facilitated equity and inclusion workshops for the State’s Office of Community Partnerships and Strategic Communications.  Anab’s unique international perspective will undoubtedly enhance Community Human Service’s grant management efforts, enabling the organization to secure critical funding.

Jeannine Woerz – Donor Relations Manager

Jeannine Woerz, a native of Salinas, brings invaluable experience to Community Human Services as the Donor Relations Manager. Previously, she served for nearly two decades as the Director of Care & Seniors for a prominent house of worship in the Chicago area, where she organized and strengthened community outreach, managed and mentored hundreds of volunteers, and developed innovative programs. Jeannine was actively involved in community service in the Salinas Valley, including serving as the former president of the Castroville Rotary Club and a past member of the Salinas Rotary Downtown Club. Her professional background includes roles as the VP of Business Development & Marketing at the Bank of Salinas and co-owner of Woerz Marketing. Jeannine Woerz’s experience and ties to the Salinas community make her a valuable addition to CHS’s donor relations efforts.
