COMMUNITY HUMAN SERVICES OPERATIONAL DURING STORM

Monterey, CA. - January 13, 2022 - Community Human Services is providing uninterrupted mental health, substance abuse, and homeless services during the storms and flooding. This includes:

  • Off Main Clinic – fully operational
  • Genesis House Residential Treatment Center – fully operational
  • Casa de Noche Buena Shelter – fully operational
  • Safe Place Youth Shelter – fully operational*
  • Salinas Valley and Monterey Peninsula Youth Street Outreach Programs – fully operational
  • Outpatient Drug Treatment, Salinas – fully operational
  • Outpatient Drug Treatment, Monterey – fully operational
  • Drug and Alcohol Intervention Services for Youth (DAISY) – fully operational
  • Family Service Center, Salinas (outpatient mental health counseling, parent education, domestic violence groups and supervised visitation) – fully operational
  • Family Service Center, Seaside (outpatient mental health counseling, parent education and domestic violence groups) – fully operational

*Safe Place Youth Shelter is regularly closed on Sundays.  On Sunday, 1/15, transportation from Safe Place to the Monterey Fairgrounds shelter will be provided from 7 to 9 p.m.

Supervised Visitations in Seaside only are cancelled and will resume when storm conditions allow.

Substance Use Prevention Program is not operational due to school closures and will resume when schools reopen.
