Street Outreach Program

Program Description
The Monterey Peninsula and Salinas Valley Street Outreach Programs provide resources and aid to homeless youth up to the age of 24. The programs work to build trust and relationships with youth on the streets in a non-judgmental way with the ultimate goal of providing safe exits off the streets and into permanent housing.

  • Family reunification
  • Drug & Alcohol education
  • Life skills education
  • Safe Place also assesses youth for risk of commercial sexual exploitation and provides appropriate interventions when needed.

Hours of Operation
Monterey Safe Place Emergency Shelter: Check-in 7-9 PM, Check-out by 7 AM

Cost
Services are provided free of charge in English and Spanish.
