Help Preserve Safe Shelter for Women and Families in Monterey County.
Reductions in public funding have created a projected $4.86 million shelter funding gap over the next three years. Your support can help sustain Shuman HeartHouse and Casa de Noche Buena while CHS builds a stronger, more sustainable funding model for the future.

Two Shelters. One Mission.
Shuman HeartHouse and Casa de Noche Buena provide women and families experiencing homelessness with safe shelter, meals, individualized support, and a pathway toward permanent housing.
These programs work. But reductions in public funding have created a significant gap between the cost of operating the shelters and the funding currently available.
The challenge is not creating something new. It is protecting something that already works.
